Stephens County Advancement Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate is student-centered, skilled in fostering positive learning environments, and committed to supporting academic success for all learners.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction.
Develop lesson plans that differentiate for diverse learners and incorporate best practices.
Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
Participate in professional learning, faculty meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
Maintain accurate records for grades, attendance, and required documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Valid teaching certificate in appropriate content area.
Demonstrated understanding of effective instructional strategies.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching at the high school level.
Familiarity with technology-integrated instruction and digital learning tools.
Experience supporting diverse learners.
